Ensenada
The town of Ensenada is located just south of the San Diego border in Baja Mexico. It also referred to as Mexican Riviera in some cruise itinerary. This tranquil countryside resort town is very popular with year-round cruise ship arrivals and tourists traveling down from California for vacation stays and stopping at Ensenada Cruise Port.
Ensenada is not the typical tourist destination and still has a low-key feel to it. It is mostly known for its nature excursions, vineyard and winery tours, downtown night clubs and La Bufadora (natural blow hole).
Most cruise passengers head for downtown ensenada to explore the shops, bars and restaurants. During spring break the downtown area can get pretty crowded. Check with your cruise line for other Ensenada activities which include off-road adventures, wine tours, and city tours.
