Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta is a Mexican beach resort city situated on the Pacific Ocean's Bahía de Banderas. Puerto Vallarta is the fifth largest city in the state of Jalisco, and the second largest urban community in the state . The City of Puerto Vallarta is the government seat of Puerto Vallarta which includes population centers outside of the city extending from Boca de Tomatlán to the Nayarit border .

The City is named after Ignacio Vallarta, a former governor of Jalisco. In Spanish, Puerto Vallarta is frequently shortened to "Vallarta", or P.V. for short. It has its own airport called Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport.Clothes shop cruise terminal

Puerto Vallarta is the most tropical port of call on the Mexican Riveria. there are plenty of boating activities to choose from. Most take you across the Bay of Banderas to remote beaches and villages south of the city. the downtown area beautiful with 2 churches, shops and places to eat. South of downtown is Mismaloya Beach. Mismaloya Beach is a nice place to relax and spend the day.

Debarktation is easy as you dock at the port. Those who have pre-booked tours will gather on the ship (usually the theatre) and debark together. Once off you just look for your tour guide. All others can walk through the shops over to the taxis and vans. I would definitely reccomend purchasing tours through the cruise line, unless you are just going downtown or to Mismaloya Beach. always talk to more than 1 driver to ensure the best price.
